What we're digging vol. 4

What we’re digging in the garden, in the shop, and more…

  1. A collection of dresses, shirts and jackets by Runaway Bicycle with next level fabrics and finishes. This dress is a blend of cotton and silk, handwoven, with hand sewing all around the collar. The perfect piece to stay in top rotation through the seasons.

  2. We are thrilled to have our first delivery from @norlha_atelier. Stunning scarves and blankets made with yak fiber in the Ritoma Village on the Tibetan plateau. This is a brand we have followed since their inception and we are so happy to share them with you. In-store now, online shortly, and more styles coming soon.

  3. We just celebrated Apple Fest on Saltspring and it has us dreaming of crumble. This recipe by Benjamina Ebuehi is aptly named ‘just the crumble’. Just as good all on its own as it is with autumn fruits.

  4. We’re often asked what our favourite skincare products are in the shop. Activist Manuka is always at the top of that list. Its extremely hydrating, promotes skin regeneration, repairs cellular damage, calms inflammation and lessens the appearance of scars. Its a must-have for sensitive skin.

  5. Our obsession with peeking into studios continues. This summer we had a beautiful visit to the Wayne Ngan studio and garden. We walked through the hollyhocks taller than us, watched the dragonflies and awed at the rocks made to look just like the ones we dive off of at Fords Cove. The studio closes in the fall and winter but if you find yourself on Hornby reach out and they often open up to walk you through.

  6. Completely in love with the snack plates by @somthings2021. It has us craving cozy gatherings with all of our favourite snacks. Keep an eye out on their instagram, most pieces posted are available!

  7. The Carrie Lamp by Audo x Norm Architects. The perfect amount of ambient light, inside or out. This little beauty can sit on the table or the handle can be pushed to the side so it can be hung on the wall.

  8. Everyones favourite Mervi glasses are back! As always, colours are limited so if you want more to add to your collection, dont wait!

  9. Every piece by Harumi Ota has its own bit of magic. This fall his shapes are evolving and details are shifting. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with next. There is more of his work in-store now and more will be here in November.

  10. Fantasizing of bringing sculptures like the work of Nadia Yaron into the garden. Your space is your own, invest in pieces that make you really feel.

  11. The ideal baking dish by Renault. Ours is currently full of apple crumble from the book above ;)
